A digital tattoo is the information we leave behind when we do anything online. Be it the images we post or the information about ourselves we haphazardly put up.

A digital tattoo can be good or bad. It can be great, showing off your achievements, your skills and your dedication. However it can be like a scar if bad, a night out or rude comment could be a tipping point for employability.

Digital tattoos are now a focus point for employers because it can tell them everything they need to know about you just from a quick search.

Your life online is as permanent as a tattoo. But it can be covered up and hidden. Deleting all unused profiles is a good way to go because it gets rid of anything you want to forget. But you have to remember that what your friends post about you will also impact your digital tattoo.
